The project site is the Bay St. wharf located at the Small Craft Harbours Parry Sound facility (45°20'18.8"N 80°02'08.9"W). Parry sound is located approximately 250km North of Toronto, Ontario. The purpose of this project is to perform safety-related repairs along the length of the pier.
The work under this contract covers:
• Supply and installation of new safety ladders.
• Supply and installation of new safety handrails.
• Repairs to existing guardrails.
• Misc. concrete repairs
FAMILIARIZATION WITH SITE
Before submitting a bid, it is recommended that bidders visit the site and its surroundings, at their own expense and schedule, to review and verify the form, nature and extent of the work, materials necessary for the completion of the works, the means of access to the site, severity, exposure and uncertainty of weather, soil conditions, any accommodations they may require, and in general shall obtain all necessary information as to risks, contingencies and other circumstances which may influence or affect their bid. No allowance shall be made subsequently in this connection on account of error or negligence to properly observe and determine the conditions that will apply.
Take all appropriate safety measures for any visit to site, either before or after acceptance of bid.
It is anticipated the contractor can perform and complete the Work in approximately 5-7 weeks. All Work is to be completed by February 28, 2025.
