AI Contract Overview
The U.S. Army Contracting Command at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, is conducting market research through a Request for Information to identify qualified sources capable of manufacturing and repairing the PATRIOT Cooler Liquid Electron Tube (CLET) Pumps, specifically Part Numbers 11463449-2 and 11463449-3, or comparable alternatives that meet fit, form, and function requirements. The goal is to support maintenance and upgrades for both U.S. and Foreign Military Sales PATRIOT radar systems, with an emphasis on non-developmental items to reduce cost and schedule risk. While the parts are not proprietary, vendors proposing alternatives must provide complete design data for Government review prior to any potential contract award, and the Technical Data Package is available upon request to qualified respondents. The requirement is classified under NAICS code 336415 with a size standard of 1,250 employees, and all responses must be submitted electronically as a concise capabilities statement in Word or PDF format no later than August 17, 2026. The Government retains unlimited rights to the TDP and will provide it to technically capable respondents within five days of request, allowing an additional two weeks for submission even if the official deadline has passed. Responses are voluntary, non-binding, and no funds will be provided for preparation. The CLET Pumps require robust manufacturing and repair capabilities, including facility readiness, technical expertise, testing protocols, and logistical support for both domestic and international users, with a preference for systems designed for minimal maintenance and ease of repair in deployed environments. Compliance with the Berry Amendment for specialty metals is mandatory in any resulting contract, and while no security clearance is required, the Defense Contract Management Agency may conduct facility assessments to ensure production capability. Subcontracting arrangements must be clearly outlined, and all submissions must include organizational details, contact information, and supporting documentation of relevant experience. Proprietary information submitted will be safeguarded by the Government, and classified material is strictly prohibited. Responses are not offers, do not constitute a solicitation, and will not result in any obligation or award unless a future formal procurement is issued. The point of contact for submissions is Karen Rivera at the provided email, and all correspondence must reference the RFI number.
