Peace Wapiti High School – Grading and Utility Extensions

The County of Grande Prairie No. 1 is soliciting tenders for solicitation number PS-2026-0086 to perform grading and underground utility extensions at the Peace Wapiti High School site. The scope of work includes topsoil stripping, common and waste excavation, and the installation of watermains and storm sewers, specifically 300mm and 375mm PVC Ultra-Rib mains. The project also requires trenching and backfilling at depths up to 4 meters, as well as site restoration involving mechanical seeding, fertilizing, and the installation of erosion control blankets. All work must adhere to the most recent construction manuals from Aquatera and the City of Grande Prairie, with substantial performance required by November 2026. The contract is based on the CCDC 18 (2001) Civil Works Contract and is performance-based, with the Consultant responsible for final acceptance and warranty certification. Bidders must submit their proposals electronically via the Bids&Tenders platform by September 30, 2026, at 2:01 PM. Requirements for submission include a bid bond equal to 10 percent of the tender amount and proof of a standard COR, TLC, or COREL safety certification, as SECOR is not acceptable. The County will award the contract at its sole discretion, considering price, technical skill, financial resources, and past performance. The successful contractor will be designated as the Prime Contractor for Safety and must provide performance and labour and material bonds upon award.
