Permit No. 19901 – Alamar Dry Boat Dock Storage Project

The Central Valley Flood Protection Board is overseeing the construction of a 120-foot by 100-foot metal dry boat storage building along the eastern bank of the Sacramento River, situated atop previously permitted waterside berm fill. The project includes concrete access stairs and a retaining wall with riprap stabilized along the building’s western foundation to manage erosion and support structural integrity. Additional improvements involve new paved parking stalls, a 4-inch diameter PVC drainage system with catch basins to manage runoff, and landscaping and hardscaping along the waterside shoulder fence line to enhance aesthetics and stability. Existing structures—wood and chain link fences, foundations, storage sheds, a storage box, and trees—will be removed to make way for the new development. The permit also authorizes the continued presence of pre-existing encroachments on the parcel including metal fencing and a slide gate along the levee shoulder, a cattle gate, and a concrete pad for a storage box. All work is to occur within the designated waterside area of the Sacramento River levee in Sacramento, California, with regulatory oversight focused on flood protection and environmental compliance.
