The Western Area Power Administration (WAPA, Rocky Mountain Region (RMR) has a requirement for a Contractor to provide labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and other resources necessary to complete this project. A multi part project to increase the reliability of the Poncha substation service feed and provide backup power to help decrease station service outages. The principal components of work include the following: a. Provide demolition and site development. b. Furnish and install main station service equipment consisting of pad mount transformer, safety switches, automatic transfer switch, backup generator, and main AC switchboard. c. Furnish and install over the trench distribution panels inside control building. d. Furnish and install gas cart safety switches. e. Furnish and install LP tank and generator pad. f. Remove and dispose of two (2) existing pad mount transformers designated K1 and K2 with associated equipment. g. Furnish and install grounding systems, conduit, and insulated cable. h. Install associated cable terminations.
