Pre-Advertisement Notice for Urban Tree Master Plan

The City of Atlanta, through its Department of City Planning, is initiating a two-phase procurement process to secure professional consulting services for the development of a comprehensive Urban Forest Master Plan. The process begins with a prequalification phase followed by an Invitation for Bids, conducted under Section 2-1188(l) of the City Code, to select a qualified consultant capable of managing all aspects of the plan’s creation. The consultant will be responsible for conducting urban forestry assessments, analyzing existing policies and codes, collecting and evaluating data, recommending GIS and technology solutions, engaging the public and key stakeholders, and developing actionable, long-term strategies for urban forest management, protection, and expansion over a 15-year period. The selected firm will deliver a complete Urban Forest Master Plan that includes measurable goals, performance metrics, implementation timelines, and funding analysis, alongside supporting documentation such as public engagement materials, technical reports, presentations, and electronic and printed final deliverables. The plan will serve as the guiding document for the city’s urban forestry initiatives for the next decade and a half.
