Preventative and Demand Maintenance Services for all Passage, Automatic and Sliding Doors & Locksmith Services

The City of Mississauga is soliciting bids for a comprehensive maintenance contract to provide certified trades labour, equipment, and materials for preventative and demand maintenance of approximately 8,444 doors across 303 city facilities. The scope includes passage, automatic, and sliding doors, as well as locksmith and keyway services, with a requirement for 24/7/365 emergency support. The contract is structured as a firm three-year term from November 1, 2026, to October 31, 2029, with the City holding the option to extend for two additional one-year periods. All work must comply with the Ontario Fire Code, NFPA 80, and standards from the CSA, ESA, and TSSA. To be eligible, bidders must be authorized Medeco dealers with at least three trained Medeco technicians and provide at least five AAADM-certified technicians, while dedicating a total of eight technicians to the contract. Evaluation is based on a multi-stage process including mandatory technical requirements, rated criteria regarding firm experience and quality management, sustainability leadership, and fixed-fee pricing. Award is granted to the top-ranked bidder. Key administrative requirements include the use of the CVMMS portal for invoicing, the provision of performance and labour/material payment bonds, and the submission of Confirmation of Fitness reports to verify equipment safety and operational status.
