The County of Floyd, Virginia (hereinafter called the âCountyâ) invites qualified independent certified public accountants (âauditorâ) to submit proposals to enter into an initial three (3) year term contract to perform a financial audit for the fiscal years ending June 30, 2024, 2025 and 2026, with the option to extend such contract for an additional two (2) successive one (1) year renewal periods, in accordance with the pronouncements of the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB), with an eye towards also meeting the best practice standards of the Government Finance Officers Associationâs (GFOA). The auditor selected will also prepare the Countyâs Cost Allocation Plan (CAP) each fiscal year, as well as the DEQ required solid waste financial assurance document, and will submit all appropriate documentation to the federal clearinghouse and Commonwealth agencies as required by law. The contract will be awarded under a best value procurement per the Virginia Public Procurement Act, Va. Code Â§ 2.2-4300.
