The New York Power Authority is seeking proposals for a five-year contract to provide a comprehensive mobile services solution aimed at enhancing field operations for front-line workers. The project involves supplying supervision, labor, materials, and equipment necessary to develop and implement a mobile platform that integrates with IBM Maximo, NYPA’s Asset Management System. The goal is to enable field personnel to perform inspections, access critical asset information, digitize paper-based inspections, and manage work orders seamlessly across all NYPA assets, thereby improving safety, compliance, and operational efficiency. The solution will replace existing systems and expand capabilities to all technicians, supporting real-time data collection for asset performance monitoring and condition-based maintenance. Bidders must participate through NYPA’s designated procurement platform, Ariba, with the response deadline set for July 10, 2024. The contract aims to foster diversity, with a 15% goal for minority-owned and women-owned subcontracting, while other specific set-asides are not applicable. The project encompasses all counties in New York State, with a focus on solutions that align with NYPA’s digital transformation objectives. The contract’s value is estimated between $500,000 and $2,000,000, and interested parties can contact the designated senior buyer, Anna Lee, for further details. Past experience with similar mobile solutions, such as Prometheus Group’s DataSplice Mobile, is considered relevant for bidders.
