SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is extending its existing clinical testing services contract with Quest Diagnostics Nichols Institute for an additional six months, until May 15, 2025. This extension is granted through a single-source exemption to address outstanding and current invoices and to ensure continuity of testing services across all New York State counties. The contract was initially awarded to Quest Diagnostics Nichols Institute, which has been providing laboratory testing services at their Brooklyn location. The procurement process was bypassed for advertising due to the single-source nature of the award, emphasizing the necessity of continued service from this specific provider. The contract's value ranges between five and fifteen million dollars, reflecting its significant scope. The designated point of contact for this procurement is Frantz Poyau, a Purchase Associate at SUNY Downstate, who can be reached via email or phone for any inquiries.
