GENERAL INFORMATION: DOCUMENT TYPE: Notice of Award SOLICITATION NUMBER: FA4416-04-POLICE_ CONTRACTING OFFICE ADDRESS: DEPARTMENT OF THE AIR FORCE, AIR MOBILITY COMMAND, 89TH CONS, 1419 MENOHER DRIVE, ANDREWS AFB MD 20762-6500 DESCRIPTION: The 89th Contracting Squadron, Andrews AFB Maryland, intends to issue a sole source firm fixed price contract to Prince George's County Police Department, 7600 Barlowe Road, Palmer Park MD 20785 to provide enhanced armed security operations at the Summerfield Military Family Housing Community, Landover MD to include approximately twenty-four man-hours of patrol per day dedicated to Summerfield MFH. Foot Patrols will be conducted in areas not accessible by motorized vehicle and patrols shall check the doors of all administrative buildings at least once per shift. PGCPD shall enforce state, county and any local laws or ordinances within the designated area(s), make a report of arrests and other criminal activities observed by patrols and immediately provide arrest reports to the 89 SFS. PGCPD officers, who are RADAR/LIDAR certified and not otherwise tasked, shall enforce speed limits in the community. This is a sole source procurement under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1. As funds are not currently available, the solicitation will be issued under FAR 52.232-18 Availability of Funds, Apr 1984. This notice of intent is not a request for quotation (RFQ) for competitive quotes.
