Full Description

The Securities and Exchange Commission intends to award a sole source contract to Margaret J. Carpenter to provide senior level financial management consulting services. Ms. Carpenter, as the former Chief Financial Officer, Office of Financial Management, possesses the expertise and unique understanding of the SEC's financial systems, audited financials, and internal procedures necessary to provide required senior level financial management support to the newly appointed Chief Financial Officer. The SEC is awarding this contract in order to complete: audited financials for Fiscal Year 2006; Performance Accountability Report (PAR); and resolution of material weaknesses for Fiscal Year 2005 audited financials. The period of performance for this award will be on or about 2 September 2006 for a period not to exceed four (4) months. Ms. Carpenter is the only known source that possesses the level of experience and knowledge required to meet SEC requirements. The intent of this synopsis is for informational purposes only, and is not a request for competitive bids; no solicitation will be issued for this sole source requirement and no other information will be provided.
