R -- Contract Increase

The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) is increasing the level of effort under its existing contract with the Integrated Management Resources Group (IMRG) to accommodate a significant rise in the number of pension plans assumed by the PBGC. This increase involves an additional 116,250 hours of auditing services, ensuring continuity and avoiding disruption before a planned re-competition of the contract. IMRG’s scope includes various specialized audits such as Plan Asset Audits, Pension Plan Audits, Source Document Audits, Participant Data Audits, and Standard Termination Audits, all essential for overseeing pension plan integrity. IMRG’s extensive experience with pension audits, in-depth understanding of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), and familiarity with PBGC’s policies uniquely position them to efficiently manage the increased workload without delays. The contract adjustment enables PBGC to maintain consistent audit services during this transitional period, underscoring PBGC’s commitment to safeguarding pension benefits amidst growing responsibilities. The follow-on competition will be conducted under Solicitation No. PBGC01-RP-06-0003. The designated contracting officer for this action is Gregory N. Smith.
