The Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board plans to issue a series of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) throughout 2005 to secure contractors for its Thrift Savings Plan record keeping and software support services. The process will be divided into multiple phases: the first RFP, released in the first quarter of 2005, targets contractors to provide parallel call center and written correspondence services. The second, expected in the second quarter, focuses on printing, mail services, imaging, indexing, data entry, and fulfillment services. The third RFP, set for the third quarter, will be divided into two lots—one for record keeping support services and another for software maintenance and enhancement services. These opportunities will be publicly available on the agency’s business website upon release. The solicitation is identified under the number TIB-2005-R-001 and classified under the NAICS code 561110. The contract points of contact include Robert J. Battersby, the Contracting Officer, who can be reached for further inquiries. This phased approach reflects the agency’s intent to comprehensively update and support its Thrift Savings Plan operations through specialized contracting competitions.
