This contract involves a Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF) arrangement awarded to Bren-Tronics, Inc. under contract number W15P7T-10-C-B009 for a development effort related to "RECOVERY." The Contracting Officer decided on a CPFF contract type due to the uncertainties in estimating costs accurately for this project, which makes a Fixed-Price contract unsuitable. The notice is informational only and applies exclusively to contractors already under the current contract. The contract is managed by the Department of Defense, specifically through the W6QK Acc-apg office located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. This procurement falls under federal acquisition regulations FAR 16.103(d), 16.301, and 16.306(b) and (c). While detailed specifics on the scope and set-aside types are not provided, this contract supports a development program where costs cannot be precisely predicted, necessitating the flexibility of a CPFF contract to ensure appropriate funding and fee structures throughout the performance period.
