NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FO COMPETITIVE QUOTES.
The United States Section of the International Boundary and Water Commission (USIBWC), Water Accounting Division, intends to award a sole source contract to SonTek, a Xylem brand, for the procurement of a SonTek manufactured remote control hydrographic survey vessel designed specifically for integration with the SonTek RS5 Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) and the SonTek RSQ data acquisition software.
This acquisition will be conducted under the authority of FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii), Sole Source Acquisitions of Commercial Items, and is not a request for competitive quotations. The Government’s requirement includes proprietary SonTek capabilities such as factory engineered RS5 mounting hardware, native RSQ/RS5 firmware integration, SmartPulse+ processing, SonTek vertical beam corrections, and telemetry modules designed specifically for RS5 data collection.
