NAICS: 333243
DIBBS
Defense-Compliant Packaging and Preservation ServicesThe contract mandates military-standard packaging and preservation of an audio level meter in full compliance with ASTM D3951 and MIL-STD-129, ensuring the equipment is protected against environmental degradation during transit and storage. This includes the use of desiccants to control moisture, vapor corrosion inhibitors to prevent metal oxidation, and other corrosion protection measures designed to maintain operational readiness under demanding conditions. The work is bound by strict defense logistics protocols, requiring precise documentation, labeling, and handling procedures aligned with Department of Defense standards. The contract is classified as a subcontract under NAICS code 333243, specifically tied to the Defense Logistics Agency, a component of the Department of Defense, and was posted on July 17, 2026. It is associated with the contract identification SPE7M126V051S and is intended for performance under the broader framework of military supply chain integrity. The packaging and preservation tasks are critical to sustaining the functionality of sensitive instrumentation in austere environments, and failure to meet the specified standards could jeopardize equipment deployment and mission safety. There is no set-aside classification indicated, suggesting the award is open to eligible contractors without preference for small or disadvantaged businesses.

The Canada Revenue Agency is seeking input from industry vendors through a Request for Information to identify viable options for replacing or upgrading its aging Print to Mail equipment and associated infrastructure, including Xerox Nuvera 288 high-speed printers, Bell and Howell Forerunner inserters with ADF and IQ Production Management software, and HP ProLiant servers running Prisma production software. The agency requires a comprehensive solution that includes new hardware, software, networking components, and ongoing maintenance and support services with dedicated on-site technicians available during standard business hours and standby coverage after hours at both its Winnipeg and Summerside facilities. Vendors must also be capable of supplying all required consumables such as MIRC toner, fuser kits, imaging units, rollers, and suction cups, either through OEM or remanufactured sources, and must demonstrate the ability to deliver identical performance and support across both locations. The RFI is not a solicitation for bids, does not commit the CRA to any future contract, and responses are not required for eligibility in subsequent procurement events, which will be posted on CanadaBuys. Responses to this RFI must be submitted by April 28, 2026, at 14:00 EDT to David Denis at david.denis@cra-arc.gc.ca, following amendments that temporarily assigned Tara Sprigings-Ramsey as the contracting authority for a brief period in April 2026. Respondents are required to provide their full contact information, and electronic submissions are encouraged to include a read receipt for confirmation of delivery. The agency is particularly interested in vendors who can consolidate support for all equipment under a single contract and is collecting self-certifications regarding business size—small, medium, or large—and Indigenous business status as part of the response through the General Questionnaire. No formal contract clauses, evaluation factors, pricing, or packaging requirements are included in this RFI; it serves only as a market research tool to inform a future procurement. Existing contracts for the equipment expire between August 2026 and March 2027, with possible one-year extensions, and the CRA is evaluating long-term operational needs to ensure continuity in processing up to 270,000 notices per day per site.
