The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic (SPAWARSYSCEN Atlantic), Advanced Technology Branch, issued a Request for Information (RFI) seeking details on commercially available fiber/video scope kits used for surveillance and visual inspection, specifically aimed at the emergency responder community. This request supports the Department of Homeland Security’s System Assessment and Validation for Emergency Responders (SAVER) Program, which evaluates and validates commercial equipment to assist emergency responders in making informed purchasing decisions. Vendors are invited to submit information about their products, including company details, whether they manufacture or distribute the equipment, contact information, product descriptions, and pricing including any General Services Administration schedule details. The information collected will be reviewed for potential inclusion in future SAVER projects, but the RFI does not constitute a solicitation or an intent to award a contract. Submissions must complete a product summary questionnaire accessible through the SSC-LANT e-commerce website, and all provided data will be treated as public knowledge and possibly used in SAVER documentation, so proprietary information should be withheld. The deadline for responses was March 31, 2011. Questions can be directed to designated technical and contractual points of contact. This RFI serves solely for information gathering and planning, and vendors should not expect direct follows-up through Federal Business Opportunities postings but may be contacted individually for more details.
