The U.S. Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) intends to award a bridge action by modifying the current Task Order, N0017320F2029, titled "Research and Development Efforts for High Performance Computing", with Arcfield on a sole-source basis pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) and FAR 6.103-1, Only one responsible offeror and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.

The purpose of this modification is to provide continuity of specialized Research, Development, Testing, & Evaluation (RDT&E) services to the Information Technology Division (ITD) located at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, DC. This effort consists of comprehensive efforts that significantly improve end-to-end computer network performance over an entire network enterprise.
