The U.S. Navy’s Direct and Time Sensitive Strike Weapons Program Office (PMA-242) is conducting market research through a Request for Information to identify industry capabilities for a missile system equivalent to the AARGM-ER, designed to enhance suppression and neutralization of enemy air defenses in contested environments. This system must include a mature, all-up-round missile with integrated hardware and software, compatible with current naval platforms such as the F-35, F/A-18E/F, and EA-18G, and must meet MIL-STD-1760 and Universal Armament Interface standards. Required capabilities include extended standoff range, advanced anti-radiation targeting with broad frequency coverage, high lethality, modular open systems architecture, cybersecurity compliance with DoD and NIST standards, and support for a 15-year service life under carrier-based operational conditions. The system must also include logistics infrastructure, trainers, flyout models, and verification elements, all while enabling affordability, producibility at rates of up to 600 units annually, and future exportability without technical restrictions. Respondents are expected to submit unclassified capability statements of no more than 20 pages detailing technical readiness levels, program approaches, rough order of magnitude pricing for development and unit costs across production ranges, and experience in systems engineering, missile integration, rapid prototyping, and high-rate manufacturing. Emphasis is placed on modular design, documented interfaces, software and hardware scalability, and supply chain resilience. Responses must address specific criteria including data rights, intellectual property constraints, technology insertion strategies, and past performance in similar programs. While classified appendices may be submitted via SIPRNet or physical delivery following NISPOM guidelines, all initial submissions must be unclassified. The deadline for responses is August 1, 2026, and participation is strictly voluntary with no compensation or reimbursement provided by the government. The Navy is not obligated to proceed with procurement based on responses, and all submissions are treated as market research inputs under NAICS code 336414, open to all business sizes, with foreign entities required to comply with ITAR.
