RFI for MAGIS-100 Suspended Work Platform System

Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, operating on behalf of the Department of Energy through the Fermi Forward Discovery Group, LLC, is seeking information through a Request for Information (RFI) to identify potential vendors capable of designing, fabricating, and optionally assembling and installing a suspended work platform system for the MAGIS-100 experiment. The system is intended to provide safe personnel access to instrumentation located within a 100-meter-deep vertical shaft at the Fermilab site in Batavia, Illinois, primarily to support regular maintenance activities. Responses are due by July 20, 2026, at 5:00 PM CT, after an amendment extended the original deadline from July 14, 2026. The RFI specifically requests design sketches or models, detailed drawings along with STEP files, budgetary cost estimates, lead times for delivery, assembly and installation procedures, examples of prior similar work, and any design recommendations or adjustments.
