The Department of Defense, through NIWC Atlantic in support of the Marine Corps Systems Command, is seeking information on a Commercial or Government Off-The-Shelf Remote Antenna Solution compatible with the RT-2095 radio via a Threaded Neill-Concelman (TNC) connector. The antenna system must cover multiple frequency bands, specifically UHF (225-470 MHz), L/S/C (1350-6000 MHz), and Ku band (14400-15535 MHz), with Ku band signals requiring down conversion to L/S/C frequencies. The remote antenna should support operation up to 150 feet away from the RT-2095 without data loss, and include a transit case that meets rigorous environmental standards. These standards cover a wide range of conditions including extreme temperatures, humidity, shock, vibration, immersion in water, salt fog, dust, fungal growth, and explosive atmospheres, all in accordance with various MIL-STD-810H methods. In addition to environmental robustness, the solution must comply with electromagnetic interference requirements, National TEMPEST standards, conducted and radiated emissions tests, and spectrum management regulations ensuring proper frequency allocation. While existing Stock List - Level 3 antennas from L3Harris are referenced for potential use, newer or developing antenna technologies can be submitted if supported by sufficient documentation and a development roadmap. Responses to this Request for Information should include company details, technical readiness level, product specifications, cost and lead time estimates, and availability of demonstration units. The purpose of this RFI is to gather vendor information for future procurement planning; it is not a solicitation or commitment to award a contract. Submissions are due by November 10, 2023, with possible follow-up technical exchanges in late November.
