The Department of the Army is conducting market research under FAR Part 10 to identify industry capability for integrating Advanced Medium Mobile Power Sources (AMMPS) kits onto either the 1-ton Light Tactical Trailer Heavy Chassis (LTT-HC) or the 2.5-ton M200A1 trailer. This effort is initiated through a Request for Information (RFI) with solicitation number W909MY-26-R-TRLR, which has been amended multiple times to provide clarity and extend deadlines. The current response deadline is May 13, 2026, at 3:30 PM EST, following amendments that corrected the original deadline and clarified technical expectations. The Government will provide a Technical Data Package (TDP) as Government Furnished Information (GFI) to respondents for reference, but no formal contract award will result from this RFI—it serves solely for planning and market assessment purposes, with no payment for submissions. Vendors are expected to design and execute the mechanical and electrical integration of the GFE, including generators and trailers, using either purchased or fabricated components in accordance with the TDP. The vendor bears full responsibility for non-recurring engineering costs, tooling design, fabrication of brackets and mounting hardware, cabling, and all installation work to ensure safe, functional integration compliant with military standards. While there is flexibility in how components are sourced or fabricated, the final system must meet durability requirements for vibration, dust, and weather exposure and pass factory acceptance testing prior to delivery. Components referenced include fire extinguishers, trailer leg assemblies, identification plates, and fasteners conforming to ASME B18.2.1 and ASTM B8 standards, with integration work anticipated for a production volume of 50 units. GFE will be delivered to the vendor’s facility, implying the vendor assumes logistics responsibility up to final integration, though the official place of performance is Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Responses must be submitted electronically in Word or PDF format to designated Army contracting personnel, include Company Overview (limited to two pages), CAGE and UEI codes, and size status under NAICS 336212. Proprietary information must be clearly marked, and respondents must disclose any facility security clearance. No pricing data, contract clauses, evaluation factors, packaging specifications, or invoicing details are included as this is purely a pre-solicitation market survey.

Amendment 3

The government is providing the following clarification for situational awareness; the response deadline remains unchanged.

Question: It is unclear to us whether or not we will be designing the integration solution or just building the hardware based on government provided specs.  The below screenshots from the RFI seem to be sort of contradictory with each other.

-Integration Scope: the vendor is responsible for fabricating or procuring all mounting hardware, brackets, cables, and integrating/installing these components and GFE on the trailer IAW the government's TDP.

-The vendor is responsible for all non-recurring engineering (NRE) associated with designing the integration solution (e..g. tooling) to meet the performance requirements"

Answer: The vendor will be responsible for securely integrating the GFE (generator and trailer).  This integration will require either purchased or fabricated components based on the government TDP.  The TDP drawings provided at amendment 001 provide an overview to assist with reasonable estimation.

There is some flexibility in which specific components can accomplish the task, which is why any vendor may be able to accomplish assembly either with all purchased parts or chose to fabricate unique ones.  If a vendor requires tooling to aid in fabricating unique components, they are responsible for its design and the NRE associated with that.
