RFI: Simultaneous Dynamic Scanning Calorimeter/Thermogravimetric Analyzer (SDT)

The US Air Force Academy Chemistry Department is conducting market research through a Request for Information to identify qualified vendors capable of providing a commercial-off-the-shelf Simultaneous Dynamic Scanning Calorimeter/Thermogravimetric Analysis instrument that meets stringent technical requirements. The instrument must simultaneously collect DSC and TGA data to measure heat flow, weight changes, temperature, and heat capacity of samples, with a temperature range extending from ambient to 1500°C, a sample weight capacity of 200mg, and weighing precision of ±0.1%. Known acceptable models include the TA Instruments Discovery SDT 650, Mettler Toledo TGA/DSC 3+, and Netzsch STA 509 Jupiter, or equal alternatives. All submissions must include specific documentation proving NRTI certification compliance.
