AI Contract Overview
The United States Air Force Academy’s 10th Contracting Squadron is conducting market research to identify vendors capable of supplying a Supercontinuum Laser Source for use by the Physics Department and Laser and Optics Research Center. The equipment is intended to support advanced research in wavelength-agile modulation phenomenology by cadets specializing in Physics. The required system must deliver a minimum of 30 watts average output power across a spectral range of 400 to 2400 nanometers, with an average spectral power density exceeding 16 milliwatts per nanometer, a repetition rate of at least 1 megahertz, and average power stability under 0.5 percent RMS. The system must include built-in output isolation, a computer control interface, and be delivered with warranty coverage to the academy located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Submission of a Capability Statement is required from interested parties, detailing company profile, business size under NAICS 334516, technical compliance with the stated specifications, estimated lead time, and any existing government contract vehicles that include this product. Respondents must submit their Capability Statements electronically to Contracting Officer Nathalieb Zepeda no later than 7:30 P.M. Mountain Daylight Time on July 16, 2026. The notice does not constitute a solicitation, request for proposal, or binding commitment from the government, and no award or payment is guaranteed.
