Saginaw Township Community Schools is soliciting sealed bids for a Boiler-Burner Unit Service Contract for the 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 school years, with a performance period from September 1, 2026, to June 30, 2028. The scope of work involves comprehensive preventive maintenance and safety testing of district-wide boiler systems, specifically requiring monthly CSD-1 testing of low water cut-offs and low pressure safety valves from September through May, as well as full annual CSD-1 testing during cold weather months. Additionally, the contractor must perform low water cut-off inspections, including disassembly and cleaning, prior to state inspections for boilers with expiring licenses. All work must comply with Rule 518 (R-408.4518) and state boiler inspection regulations, with detailed reports maintained on-site and submitted alongside physical invoices. Bids must be submitted in sealed paper format to the Buildings and Grounds Office by July 17, 2026, at 2:00 PM; electronic or faxed submissions are not permitted. To be considered acceptable, bidders must provide a notarized Affidavit of Bidder disclosing familial relationships with school officials, a certification of compliance with the Iran Economic Sanctions Act, and proof of Worker's Compensation and commercial general liability insurance naming the district as an additional insured. Furthermore, all service technicians are required to complete a yearly two-hour AHERA asbestos training program. The district reserves the right to award the contract to other than the lowest bidder and may terminate the agreement upon 30 days' written notice following an unsatisfactory annual performance review.
