Claims arising under federal anti-discrimination and/or anti-retaliation laws (e.g., Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Equal Pay Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act (as amended), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Rehabilitation Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and USERRA);
Constitutional claims brought via 42 U.S.C. § 1983 and/or related laws (e.g., under the First, Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments);
Wage and hour compliance under the Fair Labor Standards Act and applicable state law (e.g., the Virginia Overtime Wage Act);
Employment issues related to state law (e.g., per the State Employee Grievance Procedure and the 2020 Amendments to the Virginia Human Rights Act, to include, without limitation, the Virginia Values Act;
Employee benefits, employee retirement and compensation plans, and compliance with the Affordable Care Act (“ACA”), including the requirements of Section 1557;
