The City of Murrieta’s Community Services Department is requesting quotes for the rental and operation of three cable car-style or open-air trolleys to transport Santa and a small group during a special holiday event. The service will operate over specific dates in December 2025, covering Tuesday through Thursday on the 2nd to 4th, and Monday through Thursday on the 8th to 11th, with service times generally set from 4:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Flexibility is required regarding the end time, as it can vary based on the actual duration of the routes, and vendors must also account for a potential rain date on December 12th when submitting their quotes. Each trolley or approved alternative vehicle must provide clear visibility of all passengers, support for audio and microphone equipment, and the capacity to accommodate Santa and his companions, approximately 6–8 people per vehicle. Drivers are expected to familiarize themselves with predetermined routes prior to the event and coordinate confirmation with City staff. Trolleys should be decorated in a Christmas holiday theme by the vendor and allow space only for City-approved advertisements. The City prioritizes open-air vehicles but is open to other passenger-visible, street-legal options. Technical assistance with onboard equipment is required from drivers or a site coordinator. Vendors interested must submit their proposals by October 30, 2025, with all supporting details as specified in the request for quotes.
