RFT - Supply & Delivery of Two (2) New Snowmobiles for TPS + Trade-in of Current Units

The City of Timmins is soliciting bids under solicitation number 2026-TPS-009 for the supply and delivery of two new 2026 or newer snowmobiles for the Timmins Police Service, which includes the trade-in of two existing units. The required vehicles must feature a minimum 95 HP, 899 cc four-stroke liquid-cooled engine with electronic fuel injection, a 154-inch by 20-inch track with 1.5-inch lug height, 2-up seating, and various accessories including a tow hitch, rear cargo box, extra tall windshield, and a spare belt. The electrical systems must be capable of supporting future police emergency equipment installations, and the units must be suitable for both on-trail and off-trail police operations in local winter conditions. Bids must be submitted electronically via the City's bidding system by October 12, 2026, at 2:00 pm. The City will award the contract based on reasonable commercial judgment, evaluating the total cost including the trade-in value, long-term maintenance, life expectancy, and warranty length, as well as delivery dates and equipment compatibility. Successful bidders must provide a minimum 12-month warranty and maintain comprehensive insurance coverage, including Commercial General Liability of at least 2 million dollars per occurrence and 5 million dollars in aggregate.
