Runaway and Homeless Youth

The Runaway and Homeless Youth (RHY) Program seeks to support youth and young adults aged 12 to 21 who have run away, are at risk of running away, are homeless, or face imminent homelessness, regardless of prior involvement with child welfare or youth justice systems. Proposals must align with three distinct program goals centered on youth-driven services, local and regional partnerships, and evidence-based or evidence-informed practices reinforced by data-driven decision-making. Services must be delivered within one of Wisconsin’s seven designated Youth Services Regions, though applicants are not required to serve the entire region. Only nonprofit organizations, local government entities, and tribal governments are eligible to apply, with one contract anticipated per region to ensure broad geographic coverage across the state.
