This firm-fixed price task order, identified by Action ID 36C261-23-AP-5112 and solicitation number 36C26124F0013, was awarded to Culpepper & Associates Security Services, Inc. for the provision of security guard services at the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System. With an estimated value of 256,556.70 dollars and a performance period of one year, the contract ensures the safety and security of government property, employees, and patients. The acquisition was conducted under the Multiple-Award Schedule Program and is designated as a limited sources justification due to an urgent and compelling need to prevent a lapse in security coverage after a previous contractor ended their agreement prematurely. The Department of Veterans Affairs utilized this sole source award as a temporary measure while the facility undergoes a transition to replace contracted security officers with VA employee police. Culpepper & Associates, a service-disabled veteran-owned small business, was selected based on their previous experience at the specific physical location and satisfactory performance ratings. This strategic bridge contract allows the government to maintain essential security operations during the ongoing recruitment and training of VA police officers, with the expectation that the transition will be completed within one year.
