Sale of Surplus Buses

Loudoun County Public Schools is soliciting bids for the sale of surplus obsolete trucks and buses as detailed in solicitation Q27016. The vehicles are sold on an as is, where is, and with all faults basis, meaning the buyer assumes all responsibility for the condition of the property, including corrosion, and no warranties are provided. Bids must be submitted electronically through the LCPS Electronic Bidding System by November 2, 2026, at 2:00 pm Eastern Time. The contract will be awarded to the highest bidder for the total sum of the vehicles listed in the Obsolete Vehicles List, though the agency reserves the right to award the bid in total, by item, or by group to maximize its benefit. Successful bidders must provide full payment via money order, certified check, or cashier's check payable to Loudoun County Public Schools. All purchased vehicles must be removed by November 6, 2026, to avoid a storage fee of 50 dollars per vehicle per calendar day or potential resale by the district. Upon execution of the purchase agreement, all liability and insurance responsibilities, including risks of vandalism, transfer immediately from the district to the buyer. Inspections are available by appointment during the bidding period through designated contact personnel.
