This effort is designed to create defensible space and reduce wildfire fuel loads along critical transportation routes without removing healthy, mature, or scenic trees. The project is being administered by San Luis Obispo County Public Works, with environmental oversight provided by the Environmental Programs Division led by Kate Shea.
