Sandhill Restoration 26/27 Timber Sale

The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, through the Florida Forest Service, is soliciting sealed bids for the clearcut sale of approximately 127 acres of mature sand pine plantation located on the Spring Creek Unit of the Big Bend Wildlife Management Area in Taylor County, Florida. The sale includes all merchantable sand pine within the designated boundaries, estimated at 10,225 tons of pine pulpwood and mulch wood, with boundaries defined by roads, fire lines, and changes in timber type. The contract term is twelve months from the date of award, during which the successful bidder must complete harvesting and removal of all timber.
