SBIR Phase III Technology Infusion Methodology for COTS Based Systems

This procurement pertains to Phase III of the SBIR project focused on developing a Technology Infusion Methodology for Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) Based Systems, specifically targeting submarine and undersea warfare weapon systems. It encompasses approximately 637,500 man-hours of Engineering and Technical Services including software development, procurement of COTS products, and hardware/software integration. The primary goal is to address COTS obsolescence and technical challenges that affect host platform interfaces and risk invalidating critical certifications related to Weapon Systems Safety, Ship Control Safety of Flight, Live Fire Shock, and Information Assurance Accreditation. The contract serves as a follow-on award to Progeny Systems Corporation to continue the ongoing work under a previous contract, with sole source justification approved to maintain continuity in these efforts. It includes an ordering line for the construction, delivery, and integration of subsystem components or Engineering Development Models as required. The place of performance is Manassas, Virginia, and the contract is designated as a total small business set-aside.
