Scattergood Generating Station – Fence Maintenance

LADWP is proposing to remove sand that has accumulated along the fence line of the Scattergood Generating Station Screen Bay Facility. The accumulated sand between the Marvin Braude bike path and the facilities fence line has reached heights varying from 6-8 feet, posing a safety risk to passersby that could attempt to climb the sand piles and fall into the facility, as well as a security risk to the facility for unauthorized entry. By removing the accumulated sand in areas above the mean high tide line between the bike path and the fenceline, LADWP will mitigate this public safety and plant security hazard.
