Full Description

This solicitation is issued as a commercial item acquisition under FAR part 12. The work consists of planting approximately 3500 acres of Government Furnished tree seedlings and a optional items for the placement of tree seedling protector's on the planted trees. Multiple awards may result from this solicitation with the potential for up to 4 awards. The work is located on the following districts of the Shasta-Trinity National Forest known as the South Fork Management Unit (SFMU) and Trinity River Management Unit (TRMU): Yolla Bolla, Hayfork, Big Bar and Weaverville Districts. The units are a mix of plantations and natural stands that burned in wildfires in 2007 through 2008, they have been identified throughout the solicitation as either in plantation or outside plantation. Units to be planted have not been logged or had site preparation since the wildfires and contain standing dead conifers and hardwoods. See the attached solicitation for maps and descriptions. No show me trip is scheduled. Some units may be covered in snow but vendors may contact Rebecca Hunter at +1 (555) 000-0000 for information on access to available representative units.
