SINGLE SOURCE Plexsys Hardware & Software Upgrade & Support In accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Acquisition Management System (AMS) Policy 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's intent to contract with a selected source via single-source procedures. The FAA has a requirement to replace the hardware and software on the Plexsys EMRRS and the Plexcomm Integrated Data Recording and Analysis System equipment in the Civil Aerospace Medical Institute (CAMI) Research Laboratory Flight Deck Simulator Program at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC), Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Previously the FAA posted a market survey on the FAA Contract Opportunities Page (FAACO) requesting responses for this requirement. Of the responses received, only Plexsys demonstrated the capabilities and experience to maintain and support the EMRRS and Plexcomm Integrated Data Recording and Analysis System services that the FAA requires. The FAA is awarding a single source Purchase Order to Plexsys Interface Products, Inc, 4900 NW Camas Meadows Drive, Camas, Washington, as they are the only known source, are the OEM, and hold the proprietary rights and the technical documentation. The fixed price Purchase Order will provide all parts, materials and labor to upgrade, install, integrate and train the Human Factors Flight Deck Simulator Research Laboratory on Plexsys NEXTGEN EMRRS and Plexsys Sonomarc Communications Systems with 3 years study support and hardware and software support.
