Small Tactical Terminals (STT)

The Royal Canadian Air Force, collaborating with the Digital Services Group, intends to procure five KOR-24A Small Tactical Terminal units with software version 3.4.1A during fiscal year 2026/27. This acquisition aims to enhance the Link 16 and tactical data communication capabilities, supporting the expansion and modernization of the Canadian Armed Forces' Tactical Data Link infrastructure. There is also an option to purchase up to four additional terminals in the following fiscal year to support training and future operational requirements. These terminals are critical to improving the availability of interoperable radios and reducing operational constraints caused by limited access to tactical data systems. The contract focuses on maintaining and advancing the CAF’s Link 16 Tactical Data Link ecosystem, enabling the Data Link Weapon Systems Manager to better manage and operate these communications tools. The procurement involves specific part numbers and will be delivered to the COMSEC Custodian at the 766 Communication Squadron in Ottawa. The solicitation was issued by the Department of National Defence under the Canadian government, with a bid submission deadline set in March 2026. This initiative is part of the broader effort to strengthen communications interoperability and readiness for current and future missions.
