The City of Camrose has issued Request for Information 2026-28 to gather market data for snow clearing services at the Camrose Airport for the 2026/2027 and 2027/2028 winter seasons, with an anticipated conclusion date of May 31, 2028. The scope of work involves airside winter maintenance, specifically the removal of snow and ice from runways, taxiways, and aprons to ensure compliance with Transport Canada and NavCanada standards. Priority is given to the airport runway, ALPHA taxiway, and the terminal building apron, with snow removal typically triggered when accumulations reach 5 to 7 centimeters. Contractors are expected to clear runways to a bare and dry surface whenever possible and maintain windrows at a maximum height of 30 centimeters. Interested respondents must submit their information electronically by October 2, 2026, including a signed Respondent Submission Form and details regarding their airport-specific experience and response times for both planned and emergency maintenance. Minimum equipment requirements include a snowblower and a loader with attachments. Additionally, contractors must demonstrate the ability to maintain $5,000,000 per occurrence in both automobile and commercial general liability insurance, with no exclusions for airports or tarmacs.
