The United States Embassy in Kingston Jamaica is seeking qualified contractors to perform Solid Waste Management Services at Commercial and Residential Locations.
Standard Services
The scope of services for this contract shall entail but not be limited to:
- The contractor shall furnish all managerial, administrative, direct labor personnel and equipment that are necessary to accomplish the work in this contract. Contractor employees shall be on site only for contractual duties and not for other business purposes.
- The collection of solid waste from skips/bins and disposal of such waste to the city dump in accordance with local laws from each specified location site/area.
- Collection and disposal of solid waste including (but not limited to) paper, cardboard, cans, retail packaging, food, food wrappers, debris from plants, and plastic.
Temporary as needed services.

- The collection of solid construction type waste from skips/bins or laydown area and disposal of such waste to the city dump in accordance with local laws from each specified location site/area.
- Collection and disposal of construction waste including (but not limited to) wood, large cardboard, board, construction steel, pipes metal/plastic, building fixtures, roofing materials, concrete debris, floor tile debris, carpets, damage/used equipment, damaged/used electrical appliances. electrical wires, lighting fixtures, bulbs, glass, metal sheets, wooden/plastic pallets and tree cuttings in keeping with local regulations. Removed by truck load or skip load within 5 days of request to city dump in accordance with local legal requirement.
Service Areas
Area One – Embassy Compound, 30 Monroe Road
- Waste for the compound is currently collected and deposited in the service CAC trash room, located at the Monroe Road entrance to the Embassy Compound.
- The contractor will access the service CAC twice per week, Tuesdays and Fridays between the hours of 08:00 to 16:00 hours, to collect all general waste accumulated in the trash room and remove to the city dump in accordance with local legal requirement.
Area Two – Colin Powell Residential Plaza, 211a Constant Spring Road
The contractor will access the designated garbage area twice per week on Tuesdays and Fridays between the hours of 08:00 to 14:00 hours to collect all general waste accumulated in the skips and remove to the city dump in accordance with local legal requirement.
Area Three – 5 Cookham Dene
The contractor will access the designated area twice per week to collect all waste accumulated in the designated garbage area and remove to the city dump in accordance with local legal requirement.
Area Four – 4 Edgecombe Avenue
The contractor will access the designated area on an as needed basis. The COR will advise the vendor on when to pick up at this location, where vendor shall be on location to collect garbage within 24 hours of being notified and remove to the city dump in accordance with local legal requirement.
Site Visit
The site visit will be held on August 28, 2026 at 11am at the Embassy Compound using the entrance at 142 Old Hope Road. Attendance is limited to NO MORE THAN two persons from an entity. You are asked to carpool as onsite parking is limited. All attendees must take along a picture ID (driver’s license or passport). The following items will not be allowed on site: firearms and or any other form of weapons, electronic devices, cameras and umbrellas.
To ensure access you are required to be approved prior to the visit. You are to provide the full names of the attendees, the vehicle information to include make, model, color and plate number of the vehicle being driven (please indicate who is the driver).
