Sources Sought for Special Vehicle Outfitting

The United States Secret Service Technical Security Division is seeking industry input through a sources-sought notice for a non-personal services contract to provide and outfit six special purpose protective equipment delivery vehicles to support the safe transportation of transparent armor for protectees. The requirement calls for medium-duty truck chassis similar to the Ford F-550/650 or Chevrolet 5500/6500 with a gross vehicle weight rating not exceeding 26,001 pounds, customized with a flatbed no wider than 94 inches and no longer than 178 inches, equipped with a permanently attached A-frame capable of supporting 3,000 pounds per side, a retractable cover, onboard storage bins or shelving, and preparation for emergency lighting installation.
