The contract for the FY26 Brunswick Inner Harbor Dredging Project is a firm fixed-price award set aside entirely for small businesses. It involves providing construction services such as personnel, transportation, equipment, and materials necessary for maintenance dredging of the Brunswick Inner Harbor in Georgia. The project will primarily use a hydraulic cutterhead dredge and is expected to last approximately 120 days from the notice to proceed. The scope includes removing up to 835,000 cubic yards of sediment from specific areas within the harbor, including the East River, South Brunswick River, Brunswick River, and Lower Turtle River, with the majority of dredging anticipated in the East River. The dredged material will be contained at the Andrews Island Dredged Material Containment Area, the only confined upland site in the harbor. Located in Glynn County, the Brunswick Inner Harbor is a key deep-draft navigation channel with depths of 36 feet MLLW and widths of 400 feet. The dredging is typically scheduled for late summer or fall and focuses on areas where shoaling impedes navigation, monitored monthly to ensure safe harbor conditions. The contract is managed by the Department of Defense's W074 Endist Savannah office, with solicitation details available through the government’s procurement portal. Interested bidders must respond by mid-June 2026 and can contact the primary point of contact, Rohan Bryan, for additional information.
