Full Description

The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to conduct a limited competition for nuclear powered submarine Selected Restricted Availabilities (SRAs) of up to five ships for the period from FY10 - FY12. This requirement will be competed between Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding (NGSB) and General Dynamics Electric Boat (GDEB). These two public shipyards are the only nuclear qualified and certified shipyards capable of performing this work. The place of performance for this requirement is a Government Owned Contractor Operated (GOCO) floating drydock, ARDM-4, SHIPPINGPORT, located at Submarine Base, New London, CT. The purpose of this special notice is to verify that both shipyards intend to compete for this requirement. Positive and negative responses are requested no later than 31 July 2008.
