Lee County Fleet Management is seeking to establish a sole source contract with Altec Industries, Inc. for the procurement of OEM parts and repair services specifically for 14 Altec bucket trucks in their fleet. This procurement is essential to ensure the continued reliability, safety, and operational efficiency of the fleet by maintaining compatibility with original manufacturer specifications. The contract is justified by Altec's status as the exclusive authorized dealer in Lee County capable of supplying all necessary OEM parts and repair services, as aftermarket suppliers do not offer comprehensive coverage for these specific trucks. The procurement process is being conducted under the sole source method in accordance with local regulations, with a posting period of at least 15 business days to allow for review and responses from qualified vendors. Interested firms are encouraged to contact Kevin Walker from Lee County Procurement Management for further information or to demonstrate their ability to fulfill the contract requirements. The contract size is estimated between $500,000 and $1,500,000, and the solicitation is open until December 9, 2025.

***THIS IS NOT A BID***   The description of services intended for purchase from a sole source is posted in accordance with section 3.9, Procurement Ordinance 25-11 and will be posted for a minimum of 15 business days.   Commodity or Service Required: Purchase of Altec OEM Parts and Repair Services   Description: Lee County Fleet Management is seeking to execute a sole source for the purchase of parts and repair services for 14 Altec bucket trucks by our local authorized Altec dealer. These OEM parts and repairs are used for maintaining compatibility, reliability, and serviceability to keep the fleet in proper operating condition and allow for safe and efficient performance.   Intended Single Source: Altec Industries, Inc.   Justification for Single Source Acquisition: Altec Industries Inc. is the exclusive authorized dealer in Lee County. While there are aftermarket suppliers in the area, they are not all-inclusive dealers and cannot provide the OEM parts and repairs required to maintain the integrity of our fleet. Altec Inc. is the only source capable of supplying all the necessary OEM parts for the Altec bucket trucks in our fleet.   Recommended Procurement Approach: For the reason(s) stated above, Lee County Procurement Management intends to utilize the Sole Source Procurement method to purchase from Altec Industries, Inc. for supplying the above.   Respond to: If your firm feels they have the ability to supply the above, please contact Kevin Walker, Lee County Procurement Management at contact@example.gov for review.
