The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to IndeeLift, Inc. for Standing Step Through Lifts, citing that this specific model is the only available replacement for the discontinued Brewer LiftMate units and uniquely provides automated, adjustable foot support along with the mobility and flexibility required for agency operations. No other manufacturer offers a product with the same combination of features, making IndeeLift, Inc. the sole source capable of meeting the Department’s needs. The contract is classified under NAICS code 339112 for Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing, with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees, and uses PSC 6515 for Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment, and Supplies. The anticipated completion date is October 15, 2026, with performance taking place in North Las Vegas, Nevada, and procurement managed by the 261-NETWORK Contract Office 21 in Mather, California. The Government is soliciting responses from other responsible sources to determine whether competition is feasible, accepting submissions until July 24, 2026, at 11:00 AM Pacific Time to leah.smith@va.gov. Submissions must include detailed documentation proving the respondent’s ability to meet all technical and functional requirements of the Standing Step Through Lift. Responses will be reviewed solely to assess whether a competitive acquisition should replace the proposed sole source, with the final decision rest entirely with the Government. No payment will be provided for submitted information, and if no viable alternatives are received by the deadline, the sole source award to IndeeLift, Inc. will proceed as planned under the authority of FAR 12.102. The solicitation number is 36C26126Q0987 and is posted as a presolicitation notice.
