AI Contract Overview
The FBI is planning to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for the procurement of Brand Name or Equal Teknion Kupp Chairs and Teknion Synchro-Tilt Task Chairs, including delivery and installation services. This procurement is designated as a Total Small Business Set-Aside under NAICS code 423210, with a size standard of 500 employees, meaning only small businesses are eligible to participate. The RFQ is expected to be released around May 19, 2026, and interested small business vendors must express their interest by May 18, 2026, to potentially receive the solicitation directly via email. The government may solicit quotes directly from suppliers for acquisitions at or below the simplified acquisition threshold, but response to this notice does not guarantee receipt of the solicitation package, as the government reserves discretion over the number of sources solicited. Inquiries from vendors that do not qualify as small businesses will not be considered, and telephone inquiries will not be accepted. Should there be insufficient competition through direct solicitations, the RFQ will then be publicly posted on SAM.gov. The purchase will support the FBI’s office located in Washington, D.C., with the place of performance in Quantico, Virginia. Interested vendors are encouraged to contact Contracting Officer Lily Calvert via email to register their interest and provide a valid point of contact. This procurement is part of the Department of Justice’s efforts to address office furnishing needs under a streamlined and competitive small business procurement process.
