SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF AGGREGATE MATERIALS TO RIVERSIDE COUNTY LANDFILLS

The County of Riverside Purchasing on behalf of the Department of Waste Resources is soliciting quotations for the supply and delivery of aggregate materials to Riverside County landfills as detailed in this RFQ. Waste Resources requires aggregate materials (crushed rock, base, and gravel) for various applications at its two largest active landfills, Badlands Landfill located in Moreno Valley, CA, and Lamb Canyon Landfill located in Beaumont, CA. In addition, the Department may require material at any of the thirty-three (33) closed/inactive sites and jobsites located within Riverside County (See Section 12.0). The 1 ½” and 2-4” Clean Unwashed Crushed Rock is used in vertical/horizontal gas wells or on base roads and must be free of fines; estimated annual usage is provided in reference Tab 2 – Aggregate Material Pricing. If the County determines that there are too many fines in a product for the application, then the County will request for this rock to be washed; please include any extra cost for washed rock of these types on the ‘Washed Surcharge’ Bid Item Line. The 1 ½” and 3” Minus Crushed Rock is used as road base. The estimated annual usage is provided in reference Tab 2 – Aggregate Material Pricing. Larger 3”-6” Crushed Rock is used for wet weather pads on earthen material over landfill material. The estimated annual usage is provided in reference Tab 2 – Aggregate Material Pricing. The ½” Maximum Washed Gravel is used for filling sandbags for erosion control. The estimated annual usage is provided in reference Tab 2 – Aggregate Material Pricing. Depending on the most economical price, the County will use either Class II or Class III Base for roadway applications. The County has used a more economical Crushed Miscellaneous Base in some roadway applications. The estimated annual usage is provided in reference Tab 2 – Aggregate Material Pricing.
