Notice is hereby given by the City of Vancouver (City) of its intent to contract with Better Environmentally Sound Transportation (“BEST”) for the supply and delivery of Eco-Voyage workshops, commencing in spring 2026.Founded in 1991, Better Environmentally Sound Transportation (BEST) promotes sustainable transportation and mobility options in Vancouver and across British Columbia through programs, partnerships, and leadership. Its initiatives include Bike Valet, Seniors on the Move, Eco-Voyage, and Living Streets.Eco-Voyage delivers intergenerational workshops designed to help individuals—particularly newcomers and youth—navigate Vancouver’s transportation system. Through multilingual sessions, participants learn about multimodal travel options via classroom instruction and hands-on excursions that build skills, confidence, and peer connections.In addition to these initiatives, BEST provides multilingual resources to support ongoing use of Vancouver’s transportation network. These resources cover topics such as pedestrian safety, cycling routes and etiquette, public transit use and fares, and car-share options.
