SUPPORT FACILITY REPLACEMENT, INCREMENT 1

The Department of the Navy, through Navfac Washington, is forecasting a project for the replacement of support facilities at the Naval Support Activity Bethesda for the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. The primary objective is the construction of two multi-story parking garages to replace existing structures that have reached the end of their service life, ensuring the facility can accommodate a current demand of 1,736 vehicles. Beyond parking, the scope of work includes critical infrastructure upgrades and relocations. Key requirements involve providing backup power and protection for hospital emergency generators, as well as addressing needs for logistics, IT, and emergency response. Additionally, the project entails the relocation of existing Naval Dosimetry equipment and the establishment of medical waste storage facilities.
